it is always bad when you get finger problems they are hard to treat . With using your hand you will need some sort of devise to keep that finger stable enabling the finger to heal faster

It depends on what side of the finger your tear is, palm side or back side and what kind of functional deficits have resulted from the accident. As a general rule if the tear is on the backside of the pinky then no but if it is on the palm side then usually yes. Hope this helps.

It may, if the ends of the ligaments have parted company.
The doctors may just decide to leave it for a while and see what happens, you rarely use your pinkie.

Get a steel hinged knee brace to take the stress off you knee. It will help it recover much faster. A hospital supply store has them. They are about $60.00 It will make a tremendous difference. They Velcro above and below the knee to support the knee joint but take the weight off of it. Plus take Ibuprofen for the inflammation and swelling. It is very helpful. Good Luck.
