With room humidifiers why is the water refill inlet always at the bottom of the tank so you have to invert it?

It's so inconvenient when filling up. You have to invert a full, heavy tank of water at the end to replace it in the humidifier. Would much prefer to refill the tank from the top without removing it, like one adds motor oil to a car.

I think you bought a the wrong kind. Mine doesn't have that problem.
