you have to know exactly how to word your questions in the question section - give just enough to get attention, and just enough details, not too much because it won't be read, and most importantly, which CATEGORY to post it in to get the most noticed.

Anyone have anymore tips?

An interesting perpective. I'll add a few based on my experiences:

1) A correct and thought out answer not only helps the asker, but like fine art, enriches the public.
2) You are correct on the length. A cut and paste job with a really long answer may get skipped over. I would keep the long ones to 3-4 paragraphs.
3) Category is crucial. Like not putting fine arts/drama into sports! (just kidding, there probably isn't an actual category for this question)
4) Posting a question at peak times can offer better results, more people online to answer. Once I posted one late at night and only got 2 off-the-subject answers from a couple of foreigners who couldn't type english very well.
5) Lastly, I would never use yahoo answers to flirt with other avatars. I also don't use a yahoo avatar because I really don't look like a cutesy 14-year old from nickelodeon. (Plus the facial hair male one looks awful!)

I'll be nice...Your cartoon pic makes you look really pretty and sexy so you get a pass for asking this question on a football board.

I suggest you pick a better venue for posting this question...That would be my public "tip"...Feel free to email me for additional tips.

LOL!

I haven't thought about it that way. I guess you are right. Then that would make me an artist.
