How can I find out exactly what kind of meat McDonald's uses for their hamburgers and WHERE and WHAT kind of cheese they use? I'm on a low-carb diet and I would like to know where their supplies come from!!

Well I guess some of you haven't heard of Atkins. You can eat liberally of meat and you can have cheese. I haven't had "fast-food" in a month. So keep being smart-alec, it just shows your ignorance.

I think if your on a diet you should not eat there any way the amount of carbs just in anything is horrible for your health

Every restaurant has a target number for "food cost" as a percentage of their total operating cost. It may sound harsh to charge you for every small thing, but in order to justify their continued operation to the owners, a McDonald's HAS TO HAVE a low food cost. It's all in the numbers for franchisees and small businessmen. Food for thought: Although the syrup and carbonated tanks for fountain drinks are relatively cheap, did it ever occur to you how deeply the fountain on the customer side of the counter with the so-called "bottomless cup" has cut into that traditional source of profit? There are customers who sit for hours refilling their 40 oz. cup in some locations. So sad but true to say that you have to pay for your cheese so some bum can sprawl around every day abusing McDonald's hosplitality..

Their meat comes from a cruel and bloody slaughterhouse that supply meat to 1/4 the whole industry. It should be fairly carbohydrate free, unless feces contains any amount of indigested carb. They use heavily processed cheese with tons of salt and addatives to help keep quality but hey no carbs.

I know what your talking about, I was on Atkins before. I would get a double cheeseburger and take off the bun, and I'd get salads there too. Just ignore the smartelics, I've encountered sooooo many asking questions myself. It's 80% morons online it seems. Good luck on the diet, I lost 30 pounds doing it.

You can go to their website and gather nutritional information. As far as where the stuff is processed or where they get their beef, I'd think you'd have to call their corporate headquarters and have a good reason for asking such a question in tow. Also, you can eat at McDonald's if you're dieting, just plan ahead as to what you're going to get. It's not that terrible if you manage your food wisely.

Diet and McDonalds. I have never seen those two words used in the same sentence before today. I wonder if there may be a reason for that? Go eat some subway.
