Where can I buy or how can I make gold (and other colors) hot glue?

I keep reading about gold hot glue in craft magazines. I've never seen it. I did see something about mixing mica chips in a puddle of hot glue. Would gold embossing powder work? I also have some china pigments. Would that work?

Any craft store like "Michaels" should carry it. You can get glue sticks it all kinds of colors now. As for making it yourself, I'd stick, lol, to buying it.

It would be best to buy the coloured glue sticks. A major craft store would have them.
