Program installion Issue with new Dell C521?

My desktop is only 4 months old and so far no problems, but today I tried to install Realplayer and I recieved a message saying that I don't have administrator rights to install the program. WTH? I'm the only user. Has Dell pre-set the cinfiguration or something?
Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

And yes I checked my account type in Control panel: its set at administrator.

No, but they may have set the user account priveledges to user. You can overcome that by right-clicking the install file and choosing Run As then Administrator. Type in the admin password and there you go. It isn't really a bad idea to run your user account as user.
