Changing plans in Sprint is no problem. They don't charge you a cancellation fee to stop one plan and start another plan. Basically, you are "upgrading". However, they will "ask" you to start your service agreement at the beginning.
However, it is an unknown fact that you don't HAVE to sign the 2 year agreement. I know because I've done it. I refused to sign the agreement when I updated my plan. And the salesman at the Sprint store told me privately under his breath that we don't have to.
However, if you are going to another provider, then your agreement must be expired or they will charge you a fee.

Find out what areas Sprint doesn't have service in and tell them you are moving there within the next month or so and they should cancel it for you without you paying a charge. My husband did this when we really did move to an area Sprint didn't have service in and I hear other people do it all the time. Do your research though! Call the malls where you plan to say you are moving and see what cell phone stores are there, if Sprint isnt one of them then you are good to go. Don't want to get busted and not be able to use that excuse!

Yeah, I heard about that too. I read a small article a couple of weeks ago that said you can sell the rest of your contract to another buyer and just transer it all to them. Then you are free from it. There is a site that you can do that on, but I can't remember what it was. I'm actually thinking of trying to do that so I can switch too. I have Sprint too, and really not all that satisfied. Good luck with everything.

probably not, most plans have an early termination fee. but if you still have several months left on your contract it might make sense for you to cancel and pay the fee rather then keep paying a high bill every month...thats what my sister did...

if you got the phones as part of a deal you probably are stuck with a TWO year plan which not only comes with a fee of about $179 but also damages your credit because youre backing out on a finance deal
