this is because there is blood trapped underneth the nail u need to put a little hole in the middle of it the let it breath if not you will have to wait till it falls of on its own because of the blooded bein trapped without air...my advise to try to get a simple pin hole through the nail it is we3ll wirth the relief and the discomfort of the nail slowly "rotting" off

It just has to grow out on it's own. Mine took 6 months to grow out.
Good news if your a girl, you can use nailpolish.
If you're a boy, talk to your Mom or a female friend who can help you cover it up with polish
that others can't see.
