that I started babysitting recently has the strangest thing happening to her head: on the top of her head, you know, the soft spot area, pulses all the time. It really pops up and down when she cries, but not only then. I see it throbbing constantly. I've never seen this with other infants. Has anyone else seen this and know wht it is? Thanks

I feel odd that I have been babysitting over 10 years and have never noticed this on another baby. I'm surprised it is so common. It freaks me out a bit. Any idea why it is more visible in this baby? I have had other bald babies, but not seen this pulsing in them.

Yup, very normal. Especially when the baby cries hard. Obvioulsy, once the soft spot closes up, the pulsing stops. I think some babies have a more noticeable pulse through that soft spot than others. You could definitely see it in my baby girl.

If the physician isn't in touch, then you genuinely should not be both. My son became about that length at that age, even perchance somewhat larger. What i finished up doing so a concepts because the motor vehicle seat is going is I had to get a vehicle seat so that you could use as a backward dealing with and foward dealing with vehicle seat. the single which I have has diverse incline settings, so even as my son became that youthful, I had it dealing with the rear and leaning each and every of the some time previous so he ought to apply it even if he couldn't take a seat up through himself. That became a lifesaver to me and he nonetheless makes use of the motor vehicle seat now (he's practically 2). It each and every from time to time works out better and not using a provider because the newborn sounds like they weigh a lot less and also you do not have a huge cumbersome component to carry round alongside with the newborn bag, handbag, etc. good luck!

it's nothing weird or unusual, you're seeing her soft spot pulse with her heartbeat. Maybe you're just noticing it more with this baby because she doesn't have as much hair as other babies you've seen.

I have a six month old and hers has done that from the beginning. Don't worry, she's okay. It's her pulse.

Totally normal. You can just see the blood pumping because her skull hasn't closed. My daughter had the same thing. It is probably worse when she cries because her blood pressure goes up.
