My favorite X-File is a episode with a deformed family called the Peacocks...and their community is kinda like Mayberry. I never see it on TV anymore!

This was a very controversial episode due to it's disturbing topic matter, which included incest and infanticide, as well as the suggestive brutality (you didn't always see everything, but the implications were clear), so maybe that is why you haven't seen it.

It is called "Home" and you can find it in the fourth season DVDs . It's the third episode.

Now that you mention it, when they cycle through the fourth season episodes on cable, I never see it either. What always struck me in this episode was how Mulder and Scully offered only sympathetic winces as Deputy Barney was being viciously slaugtered by the Peacock brothers, all while engaging in their usual scientific dialogue. It's like they were so desensitized by then due to all of their paranormal encounters and experiences. This is a great episode though!

That is the episde entitled Home, season four. I really don't know why they wouldn't show it on cable, but I have to agree with Dana Katherine. If you wanted to watch it, you can find it on youtube. Just type in "home x files" or "x files home", something along those lines. Well, that's the best information that I can offer you. Hope it helped!
