My uncle from my dad's side are twins. They do not look the same.
Also my husband's uncle has twins in the family that they had stuck legs and they re-took it off and then became normal.

how much chance would I myself have for twins? my mum/dad haven't been twins themselves, nor has my sister's kids...

Monozygotic (identical) twins are random and occur in 1 in 333 births. Dizygotic (fraternal) twinning can be influenced by genes and by fertility treatments. Given that there are fraternal twins in your family, you probably have an increased chance, but not a high one.

Identical twins are chance. Fraternal twins are genetic, but your husband's family history will not influence your chances of having multiples. However, it could influence your (future) daughter's chances of having multiples. Now, about your uncles, that would mean your paternal grandmother had a genetic tendency for twins (fraternals, you said they didn't look alike) which could have been passed to you from your father. A slightly higher chance, but not great.

Twins do no skip generations, that is a myth. It just seems that way because a man cannot affect his own wife's chances of having twins, but CAN influence his daughter's chances. Best of luck.

For you to have chances of becoming pregnant with twins it depend on your side of the family if you have twins yes but if you do not have twins in your side there are small chances. But still your husband side have twins so there is at least a minimum of chances i can say that out of 5 you have 1or 2 chances of having twins most could be fraternal twins rather that identical.

Sry, but there isn't really a connection like that. I asked my Bio teacher one semester in college and it is strictly by chance; but she did say that so many people are now taking fertility drugs that the chances of twins has drastically increased... Not identical but fraternal twins. Sorry and hope this helps.

Small chance. The twins could come from your uncle's wife's family.

The chances are that your children will have twins not you. Twins go every 3 generations.
