Diplomacy - it requires a LOT of thought and negotiating with other players.
Talisman - Loads of fun, easy to play, cool expansions, good for all ages.

As a child I loved HUngry hungry hippos, Candy Land, Operatiion and a game called Mouse Trap. Now as a wife and mother I love playing with my husband and kids. We like Connect four, Battle ship, Uno, Simpsons Operation and Monopoly. Arent board games just great and sooo much fun.

Yeah, Pictionary. Although I like Pay Day and Boardwalk too. Board walk is the faster version of Monopoly and really fun.

My favorite board game is Monopoly because my brother and I used to play it when we were little, and even though he always beat me, we had a lot of fun.

Scrabble....nothing like getting a bingo (using all of your tiles) on a tripple word score or using the Q, Z, X or J on a tripple letter score! It's a great game and once you play it a lot, there really is a strategy - its not just about putting words down on a board....there is more to it than that....

Party game: Quelf because it makes people do absolutely wacky things
Medium-weight game: Settlers of Catan because there's a good mix of luck and strategy and even inexperienced players enjoy it
Heavyweight game: Power Grid because for me it's just got the right amount of strategy, messing with other players, money management, etc.

Checkers, cuz it was one of the first board games I ever played. I also like Pictionary, Imagine-If, and Balderdash. Oh, and Scattergories.

Risk is my favorite board game. Risk involves strategies that can vary and since the game takes some time to play you can change your strategy at any time and slowly change your position in the game.
Take care,
Troy
