How about Iggy. Really good especially if you get an Iguana.
or Helo short for helomonster (large austrailian lizard)
Any name will do but try for something a bit different as you hav a different kind of pet.
I would not resommend naming your lizard Spot! lol

I used to have an Iguana I named Drazil. That is lizard spelled backwards. Try the backward spelling of your name, anything pertaining to what he/she is, friends names, where the came from, let you imagination go wild. Even if you don't use a name chosen that way, at least it will bring grins and giggles and you'll have lots of fun.

stick with the greek god theme. avoid S sounds as Sssss and shhhh are threats in lizard talk...too late on zeus...
of course i didn't take my own advice because my water dragons are named.
