I am a choreographer exploring themes for my next dance project. I'd like to know; as an adult with ties to that child, what kinds of hopes and dreams you have for a child when they are first born? Such as for them to be healthy, to get along with their siblings, etc . . .

My very first wish was for my son to be healthy. Both my husband and I had long discussions about our unborn child and we both wanted the same things for him. We agreed that we wanted him to be healthy, happy, respectful and compassionate towards others. We promised to show him everyday how much he is loved and cared for. We hope that he'll choose to become educated beyond regular schooling and become a productive member of society (not talking a doctor or rocket scientist here, but able to support himself and his future family).

My hope is for my baby to be healthy. That's the number one thing I was concerned about. Other then that. I just wanted for her to be happy and get a good view of the world. We all as parents try to make our kids lives either equal or better then what we had. I've got my hands full because I was greatful to have good, wealthy, and loving parents. I really want her to love who she is and if she doens't love this world we live in because of the way it is. Love the world she is a part of... Such as family, friends, and the people she is involved with.

When I had my daughter the first thing I prayed for is that she would know love. She would know love from us, her extended family, our friends and someday love someone as much as I love her. After the first few minutes I thought about other things like her college graduation, wedding day and such. My dream for her is to be happy and live a wonderful life.

To be healthy! To have a healthy delivery, healthy growing up. Physical health as much as mental health. And to have a healthy development, at a normal rhythm. And to discover their talents.

Of course, I'd always wish for her to be healthy....but aside from that, I can only hope that all of her hopes and dreams come true for her in her life...no matter what they may be.

For them to love the way i have and do all the things that they truely love to do. Not to just do what sociaty whats them to do. And of course to be a mother or father and to understand just how amazing it really is.
