You'd think all that bacteria etc. would make them sick. E-coli, salmonella, etc.

It has to do with digestion, and animal type. For instance, a crocodile is immune to most viruses and even a plague of sorts. The enzymes in their blood can fight off most infectious diseases that would be in lets say, a Zebra's intestines......Another example is a Komodo Dragon, who bite contains some of the most lethal bacteria in the world. Nothing can hurt them accept one of their own. Poisonous snake also carry venom, and some eat the prey they inject.......It has to do with the enzyme, and digestive track, not to mention their normal immunities.

Because those members of the evolving species that did get sick wouldn't survive long enough to reproduce themselves. Just one example (out of millions) of evolution in action, folks!

Predators are commonly infested with worms and parasites from their prey. They are adapted by evolution to tolerate this well enough to survive and reproduce.

They don't have the same digestive tracts as we do. They've evolved to handle that sort of thing.
