I had a dream last night that I was on scaffolding 7 stories high overlooking the sea. I could see the water but I wouldn't jump. I woke up and realised that it was a dream and though about how I should have jumped. What does my dream mean?

sounds like you have something in your life that you are debating what to do...choice one is safe (stay on the scaffolding), choice two is a risk (jump into waters not knowing what lied beneath the surface)............and by waking feeling that you should have jumped sounds like you want to charter the unknown waters, take a risk Good Luck!!

The sea is the world and the many opportunities out there...the nations and the people.
The scaffolding are like steps, to be taken one at a time in life, to get somewhere, prefferably the top step..you see the world and all the opportunities, and thought whether you should join the throng and take your chances, or stay on the ladder where you are and work your way up on your own steam.

To see sea in the dreams is the sign of the good things may happen in the future. So be happy and wait for the good news and happinesses!

There are tons of books that try to interpret dreams. Understand that dreams are merely your thoughts. Whatever significance you derive from your dreams is yours to decipher! A book cannot tell you what is right and wrong! Think about different symbol having different meaning to each person. Water signifies purity to a Catholic but what would it mean to an indigenous Brazilian tribe?
It’s what you make of it!

Mine is goofy, yet I dreamed we've been going to construct a lodge on the city I stay in, and it became going to be called the "Don Henley lodge", the place that one got here from, I have not got any thought.

I think it means that you have the strength to protect yourself from any danger. Also, you feel very protected since you were over the water and safe rather than in it drowning.

Typically, our lives run in 7 year cycles, hence the 7stories. You probably are on the cusp of your new life cycle and should take a "leap" in a new direction.

I think you are tired, poor baby!
Why ever should you jump?
Don't do that, please?
Be very good to yourself.
