How do u flash a radiator?

i got a 98 maxima i wanna flash the radiator,how do u go about it?

i think you mean flush the radiator.

remove both the top and bottom caps of the radiator and let the liquid drain out.

stick a water hose in the top end and turn the water on flushing everything out.

oh yea, make sure TO NOT START YOUR CAR IF THE RADIATOR IS EMPTY!!!

You mean FLUSH the radiator? Buy 2 Gallons of Anti-freeze. You get the car warm first. Look at the back botttom of the radiator, should be a drain there. Open the radiator cap on top,(careful), and then open the drain. let it drain, then put a garden hose in the top, and let the water flush it out for 10 minutes. Longer if you still see debris or color in the water, should be clear by now. Pull out the hose, let all the clean water drain out, close the drain. Now, get 1 gallon of Anti-freeze, put it in the radiator, now use the antifreeze bottle to fill the same amount of water, Keep repeating this until you have a nice 50/50 mix of water and anti-freeze in your radiator. Put the cap back on, and you're done!! Fiil up your plastic recovery bottle to the full line, too, it might need to be taken off and cleaned first, check it out.

It's very simple. At the very bottom of your radiator there's a little screw-leak valve. Unscrew it and the radiator drains. Then at the top, open it up and shove a hose in. Run the water until it comes out clear. But make sure to catch the runoff in something because radiator fluid can't be in the sewer systems.

The radiator should have a drain plug at the bottom. Unscrew it and the water will all drain out. Use a hose to fill it up, cap it (drain plug and radiator cap) and start the engine, let it run for 5 minutes or so and then repeat until clean water comes out of the plug. Replace the plug, mix your antifreeze and water and fill it to the correct level.

Go to the Automotive store and get a Flush kit.

You are going to have to cut one of the hoses in your car and install a "TEE" connection w/cap. You will also need a garden hose for Back-Flushing.

Follow the instructions on the package. Do it right and you saved yourself a ton of money having a shop do it for you.

Tip: I back-flush and run the engine at the same time to get a thorough cleansing.

this is what i do when i flush one

let the car cool down and take the cap off the top of the radiator
and then take the plug off that will let all the water out
then start the car and keep puting water into it leave the plug off
when u see cleen water comeing out of the botom then stop the car and put the plug back on and fill it up with water

cover floor Turn of both sides of the rad,disconnect from one side and drain into a suitable container,when all or most of the rad is mt undo the other side and turn rad over as soon as possible so no dirty water goes on floor you can control the leakage by bunging the inlet and outlets with tissue or your fingers until you get it outside,then flush through with a hose pipe.then refit
