I know this seems like a lame question but i just got an email today congradulating me for starting the third trimester and i thought i was only 5 months. I've tried calculating what month i am and now i'm just confusing my scatterbrained mind :P help me out

A typical pregnancy is 40 weeks. Therefore, you are just over halfway through. If you went by months, a pregancy is actually 10! Weeks are much easier to deal with. You will technically start your third trimester at 26.6 weeks.

You are 5 months and 1 week Congrats! You are not quite to the third trimester yet but soon you will be at about 24-25 weeks you get there. Good Luck and don't worry about the e-mail especially if you know how far along you are and that you give birth after 9 months!

It really isn't just basic math, this is one of the most confusing things. You are actually 5 months and 3 weeks not 5 and 1. Generally speaking there are 4 weeks in a month, but that is not always true. To figure it out I counted back week by week (assuming that your day to change weeks was today) your conception date was September 1st. So since then it has been 5 months and 3 weeks. The easiest way is to count back to conception date so whatever day they say you turn to a new week just count back. Hope this helps!

If you divide by 4 week you are 5 months but that means you'll be pregnant for 10 months. Look at the callander and count the months, you are more like 4 1/2. And for that e-mail, a lot of things on the web are unreliable, I get e-mails from babycenter.com and they seem to be pretty dam close to what my Dr. says............GOOD LUCK

Well there are 4 weeks in a month, so 21 weeks divided by the 4 weeks in a month equals about 5 months. The third trimester isnt until the 6 month I believe.

A pregnant month is 4 weeks. You are 5 months and 1 week....It is very confusing sometimes!!
