It's not that everyone is born with sin as someone says, they are born IN sin, because Eve ate the apple and that's when god allowed them to have children to carry on the sin.....but I guess that since Jesus is the ONLY non sinner that ever walked the earth then we are ALL helping the cause, even the holier-than-thou christians.....huh if they only realized this it would be a better place to live....

His death would never be meaningless, because no matter how hard we try we will never be perfect. Additionally, His death does not do away with His laws. Just because it is likely you can get grass stains out of your pants doesn't mean you are going to go sliding down a grass hill. Also, just because he died for our sins, does not take responsibility away from us.

I don't think that sentence means the future sins that we are going to make, but the present ones i'd say, indeed as a non-christian, but a modern world philosopher who likes to comment ;)

I think Jesus died in order for us to live, and as a part of living comes making mistakes (sins if you will). His Crucifixion insures us possible forgiveness, should we be humble enough to ask for it.
Hope this helps

Interesting view. However, according to the Christian belief we are incapable of not sinning. It is not a choice, therefore he died for everybody becuase everybody is a sinner.

I love interesting ideas! I am going home tonight to 'sin' with my husband after a nice BBQ (on a clean grill) and a few bloody mary's!

One of the early "heresies" pretty much said exactly that -- the Church wiped them out.
You are best off not understanding I think. Be at peace and with love for who you are. If you decide to become Christian, pick a reasonable, diverse, accepting church.

Because he came back to life after he died.
It's like a great celestial do-over.
After reviewing the film, the replay officials ruled that Jesus was bobbling salvation when he went out of bounds. We are all still damned.
