92 civic plug wire problem?

Question

Im changing the spark plugs and wires on my civic. When I took out the 1st plug wire from the spark plug, the bottom piece "boot" stayed on the spark plug in the cylinder. How do i take that out??? The socket wont go all the way down so I can turn it loose. help please.

no its the piece that goes down into the cylinder thats on the wires its self. the fatter end of the plug wire

Is it that foam piece inside the socket?
If it stayed on the plug, just use some needle nose pliers to get it off there.
