I have been working in the corporate world for 5 years and have found it unfulfilling though I make a decent salary. I long for more out of a job, to making a different, a more flexible schedule, and travel time but I can't seem to find a career that suits me. I have done so much research and am greatly discouraged. I might be asking for too much, in fact I'm sure of it but I hope each and everyday that I will find something that works for me. I would love any feedback/ ideas from anyone that might be able to help. Thank you!

I don't know what kind of education you have, but becoming a teacher or professor will definitely give you more time off and freedom (don't know about travel). Wages may be a problem, though...

Have you every thought about starting up your own business? If you're looking into getting more freedom, starting a business of your own is definitely the way to go. However, you will probably become much busier and not have as much time off, but if you plan well, you can set yourself up nicely while doing something you love.

The things you long for, could be fulfilled with a home business. I have a flexible schedule, meet some of the most exciting, successful people, earn more than I ever did at a job, but most importantly, I get to travel. This is something you can build while staying with your current job, and may be surprised at how quickly you not only meet, but surpass your current income. You are also building residual income so your business keeps working even when you are away and that income will take you right through retirement.

Consulting work can provide these things. Your job is often client based, not tied to a time clock, so you do end up with large chunks of time off. Consulting can also be very lucrative.
