Is it because that is the side I released an egg from? And if that is the cause is the baby still on that side? That is where they heard the heartbeat. Why the aching every once in a while?

More than likely it's from everything stretching. Better known as "round ligament pain."

Like everyone else said, it's probably round ligament pain, but ask the doctor anyways to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.

I would say that is is round ligament pain. Especially if this is your 1st. I am 11 weeks along and I get the same thing from time to time. It is pretty normal. Congrats on your pregnancy.

I had the same problem when I was pregnant, it's round ligament pain. It's caused from the muscles stretching.

It happened to me during my whole pregnancies, the doctor said it was my ligaments stretching to provide more room for the baby to grow and that it was normal.

You have a ligament that stretches across your stomach below your belly button. More than likely your baby is stretching this ligament to make room for him/herself.

This is normal throughout your pregnancy as your uterus grows. If any of this cramping comes with bleeding go to the ER (after 20 wks go to L&D) I'm 20 weeks and it is still going on. When all else fails consult the bible. "What to Expect when you'r eexpecting"

Let me tell you... it's just the beginning. Expect all kinds of abnormal things. My advice is to get a really great book from the bookstore where you can look up pregnancy symptoms. I had one and it really put my mind at ease.

you are probably feeling round ligament pain. That is the ligaments that hold the uterus in place are stretching and it can be painful, or just cause twitches. It is normal.
