Im in grade 10 in Ontario Canada, I want to become a physiotherapist when I grow up. Do I need to take Univeristy Physics? I not sure if I need to, but can someone clear this up for me?

Also, what other courses should I take in grade 11 to get accepted into a University to become a physiotherapist?

Heavy on the science and math. Your school counselor should know, but in the U.S. I've heard of many people having problems getting into college because they thought they could take any classes they wanted to to graduate from high school.

I think you SHOULD take University Physics, and you should take the most advanced math class(es) you can get into. Find a good university that has a physiotherapy major (I've never heard of that, but then I wasn't looking for one) and find out what they require for students to get into the program. Beware of first-year science classes as universities like to use these to weed out the weaker students who just want to slack off through college! At some schools it is even worth it to take classes like these at a community college and transfer them over.

Classes taught by grad students or surly experts tend to be outrageously difficult to pass. That is because the university is forcing these guys to teach when they'd rather be doing something else. Also, possibly a bit of arrogance on their part, and lack of skill in just being a teacher. Community colleges have professional teachers who want to teach...however, sometimes these teachers don't cover all the necessary material. Certain professors enjoy seeing students with specialized majors returning year after year to dwindling classes.

Sorry, ranting. Good luck in your future education!

I would keep taking music (which helps math skills, btw) and not bother with the grade 11 course. It won't lessen stress very much in the future and the music will be of more benefit. Good luck!! : P

As to whether you need to take university physics (I am guessing you mean when you are in college?), that depends on the school you go to - you can check their curricula - most are online. As for courses to take now, concentrate on science and math, especially biology and anatomy and physiology, if your school offers these. Again, if you check colleges you are interested in, many post their secondary school requirements and/or recommendations.
