I am falling for my best friend. I treasure our friendship, and I am lucky to have him as my best friend; I don't want to lose that friendship. So should I tell him I have feelings for him? Can someone give this chick some advice?

he's 31 and 34. He's a representative and is studying for the Bar and I work for the fed. gov't. So we both have a good head on our shoulders. He was with his last girlfriend for 4 years before the broke up 3 years ago and he hasn't dated since. I just broke up with my guy several months ago

That happened to me, and we've been together for five years. How did I tell him? I didn't. One night, we were just watching a movie and started cuddling.
Let it flow. Maybe give him some clues by touching him more, etc. Also, curious how old you are and how old he is? And does he have someone already in his life? Is he a player? Things like this need to be considered before even attempting to show him you feel more.

I think that you should first find out if he likes you back. Sometimes you have to take risks in order to get what you want. I think that you should get a mutual friend to see if he is interested in you and then if he is you should see if he is willing to risk the friendship in order to pursue a relationship that could definitely tear you two apart. I think that it would be a great idea for the two of you to get together because I think some of the best relationships are derived from a great friendship. Good luck!!!!

I was in love with my best friend from high school and because I didn't want to lose his friendship I never said anything. Well guess what? He started dating, and I was there just cheering him along, like a best friend should, and then he got engaged and I was crushed. The thing is when we were saying goodbye before he moved away he told me he loved me and was in love with me from the moment he met me and the reason he didn't say anything is because he knew I wasn't interested.I realized I missed my chance and I have always regretted it.He calls me his unfinished book because he'll never get to know what could have happen.

ok...i just went out with my best friend, and she dumped me for work *cry*...but we decided to stay good mates...we were fine up until when i lied to here and showed her i was not the person she thought i was....what im trying to say is, you have to make sure its something that can last! if you dont tell him how you feel the akwardness will grow and you 2 will slowly fall apart!..its up to you, which would u rather have, a friendship with greater than *friend* feelings, or a clear sign that you two are to be!

all the best:)

i had that same experience. but one night, he confessed that he liked me for such a long time! and i'm like score! so now we are friends with benefits(because it's long distance and we don't want to have a long distance relationship) anyways, basicallyyou should tell him because he may like you back and you could have something even better than friendship! and if he just wants to be friends, that's cool too because you know what the scoop is. plus, if you guys are really good friends, you'd probably stay friends if, say you broke up. just work it out and stay friends. good luck:)

It depends on how long you've been friends, if yall have been friends for years then don't chance the friendship unless your absolutely sure it'll work out. If yall haven't been friends for to long and you really want to be with them then go for it. Even if you don't work out that doesn't mean that you still can't be friends.

You probably have planned this out long time ago, didn't you. Is that why you are after him, just to get in sack.

IF YOU TREASURE YOUR FRIENDSHIP, THEN DON'T PRESSURE HIM OR TRY TO PIN HIM DOWN ON THE FLOOR AGAINST HIS WILL. IT'S AGAINST THE LAW IF YOU TRY TO FORCE YOURSELF UPON SOMEONE.

My advice to you is to get some psychological help before you do something that is illegal and unethical.

You should not tell him how you feel. Dating your best friends will result in nothing but heartache. Believe me, I know. Try not to focus to much on them, find someone else. That way you will still be able to keep your friendship with him, and be in a relationship with someone else.

If you truely feel in your heart you want to express your feelings to him then I say go for it a friendship is all about the truth and to be true to yourself you have to be true with him.

Just tell him how you really feel, if he's that good of a friend it shouldn't be a problem. After all, they say your spouse should be your best friend. Good luck
