Definitely not too old. If you can find work starting at tis age you have already solved the 'Longevity' problem many drama school graduates experience, i.e. is easy enough to get work as a pretty 20 something, but they drop out before moving on to 'grown up' roles. I teach at a london drama school, and many of them (mine included) offer postgraduate training to people in exactly your position (my oldest student at the moment is 38, I have taught people in their 60s).

I live in Los Angeles, and while most projects are geared towards ages 18-24 you can still have a successful career. I think you should look into making your own films that you can submit to festivals so you can get your name out there. Even though they got started before you, the women on Desperate Housewives are your age and older, so there are roles out there.

There are no age requirements for commericals and print ads, if you look at most of the commericals for household cleaning products and the like, they are usually women your age. You could easily play a housewife or young mom depending on how old you LOOK, that is what really matters.

You are never too late to do anything in life.

I did some film extra work at an age a lot older than you.

I signed with an entertainment agency on Tyneside and manged to get several television parts.

And I started to learn computers at the age of 58 - as I said, you are never too old.

Age doesnt matter! you are never to old to pursue your dream. and if acting makes you happy and love doing it then do your thing! d not let somethin liek age get in the way and I am pretty sure there were actors who might hae started older than others but in the acting world is doesnt matter about age it matters about how good you are at acting I wish you the best of luck and if someone does say your too old brush them off!

Wilford Brimley who was in The Natural, Cocoon and other movies started very late in life.

I don't think 34 is too late to start - but you probably won't get any roles in teen movies, unless it's as a parent, but that's ok too.

No, you're not.
Think that if you live till your 80's, you're gonna regret not trying it.
All that can happen is that you may not succed, and this could happen to anyone.
But you have no time to waste - so, start seriously and don't forget to have fun too.
Just to help you, have a look at Viggo Mortensen (Lord of the Rings) biography. You're gonna love it.

Of course you're not too old. Take acting classes, get a headshot taken by a real photographer, submit it to casting directors and agents, try to get extra work on tv shows and movies, and sell yourself like a 2$ whore. You will get some work if you try try try.
