Oh my God FINALLY someone with some sense. I agree with you 100%. The word equal shouldnt come out of ANYone's mouth who has never been told that they indeed are NOT good enough. How do they even know what inequality means?? There are sooo many stereotypes and ******* up mindsets...i doubt true equality will ever be possible. But its good people such as yourself & others that make it a little more tolerable.

It's called survival of the fittest. We've accomplished quite a bit. And the cultures that have fallen by the wayside were mostly barbaric and stagnant. The danger we face is from refugees from other, failed cultures and economies that want to come here and enjoy the fruits of our way of life and then impose the trappings and failings of the very culture they fled from!
We're NOT all equal, and there is no model in nature that says we should be. We all have different strengths and weaknesses, which is great because we have no way of knowing what talents may be needed in tomorrow's world and which may become obsolete. The most we can or should hope for is equal opportunity.
Meanwhile, be patient. Mankind is a work in progress yet. We only recently discovered that we are NOT the center of all creation. That changes everything.

Well, the human society is always in conflict if you take it from a Marxist point of view - also known as the conflict theory in Sociology.
Those who have privileges will always try to preserve and protect what they have. Those who are disadvantaged, however, will always try to get more than what they already have. Thus there is this perpetual struggle for equality, but equality that is most absolute is also most difficult to attain.
For example, let's say that you are a doctor who spent 12 years of study after high school and earning heaps of money. Would you deem yourself equal to someone who dropped out of high school and doesn't have a job?
Thus it is almost impossible to remove conflict from this world, as long as humans value the mentality of reward.
We all should have equal opportunity... and yet that most basic thing is very hard to attain in a global scenario. How can an African child with HIV have equal opportunity to a suburbian American child?
It's scary isn't it? There will always be first world countries, and countries where a majority of people are dying. I guess, if you take into account Chinese philosophy, balance, and order, come from the existence of both yin and yang, of both evil and good, of both the advantaged and disadvantaged.
All we can do is fight for our rights, with whatever strength we possess.

I agree i dont think all races will ever be equal at least not in the next five years like i heard on tv today someone said gays are the new black and in a way that is true our country does have a long way to go before everyone is really considered equal to one another

convinced, those are fatalistic ideas. equivalent wealth will depart people stuck and there must be no motivation to attain a more desirable wide-spread of life. And if authentic international peace were attainable, that ought to signify all and sundry ought to must be Enlightened, in which there is not any go with and choose for some thing with none concerns, even actual survival. this can be heaven on earth, which isn't what this life is made for. Heaven and Peace exists in a diverse realm of truth. the only international peace attainable is replacing the way you observe the international and reaching human being Enlightenment, the position you modify and uplift the international through what you have become.

You are correct on many of those points. Until the strong desire to help the weak to become better than what there present status then we will always have the inequalities.
But what are gay people looking as far as equality goes?

I like to think about it mathematically as "the limit as x approaches equality" where x = society. We have made improvements. It's not perfect, and we know full well it never will be, but we can continue to make improvements.

u speak the truth, but that is imagination, hope and wishful thinking that keeps the minorities alive..So tell the religions, which promise us equality and payback in the 2.nd world for everything that is wrong on earth (a good and relaxing lie to tell)

i know what you mean. i cant stand it.. we treat everyone so unfairly.. i mean i dont and im pretty sure you dont either.. but i mean we are equal, i am just as good as you are and we're both just as good as the chineese, blacks, indians. people are racist pigs and thats what divides us is usually our colours, our backrounds as well.. white people look down apon blacks and look up too chineese. they think all black people are poor and chineese are rich with good jobs because all chineese are smart. i really hate the way everyone treats people from diffrent races. its also stereotypes too..the funny thing is is that everyone thinks blacks steal and kill people and so on and so forth but the funny thing is, statistics say that white people steal and murder and all that funny business more then blacks. stupid people..what is this world comming to
