Just depends if you do it frequently by yourself you deny your body the sensation of a partner so that when you do have a partner your body doesnt get the attetion it wants to get your O and then you end up doing it by yourself after the fact anyway. But at the same time its hard to get so worked up and not get the end result that was with in a few seconds of reaching so then you must do it yourself to keep from going crazy. Plus just because one postion worked one time it doesnt always work the second or third and sometimes none work but most guys dont give a woman enough foreplay to help the womn get her O but the guy gets his which leaves us frustrated and getting our own O by ourself. So basicly it is a confusing situation for women and guys can always get theirs by anything that feels good so I dont know if I helped answer the question or not so hope i helped

No it does not affect your sex life in any way. Don't to it to where you can not have sex with a lady, like 2 or 3 time before you are going to have sex. If it's gets up and you can reach orgasms with her you are O K.
