I'm sure it's nothing. I started my cycle when I was 9. I have a very small chest still and I'm in my 20's and have had 3 kids. But here are somethings I've read and remember from school that may help if you really think it's a problem...

There are a few things can cause delayed puberty. You may have a hormone deficiency. Make sure you talk to your doctor about it. In most cases, they will put you on a low dose hormone birth control pill to try to jump start the process and then take you off of it once it seems to have worked. It doesn't always have the most desired effects but that's puberty and hormones for ya. Another issue can be a vitamin or mineral deficiency. Make sure that your diet consists of healthy dose of calcium, vitamin E and iron. Also, make sure that you are drinking plenty of water. The last issue I can think of is your weight. Ask your doctor to give it to you straight about what your weight is. It has become a common trend for doctors to let weight issues slide with girls in your age group due to the high rate of eating disorders. Make sure to ask if you are in your target weight range. Because you ask, he/she will have to give it to you honestly. From there you can get an idea of what to do from your doctor.

Here is a site that has some good information: http://www.drpaul.com/adolescent/pubertygirls.html

Don't rush to grow up, it'll only let you down. ;)

Yes, it is normal. What is not normal is girls going through puberty at increasingly early ages. I was 16 when I had my first period, and it was the same for my daughter. You may or may not develop a "chest," since some women (even those with early puberty) never do. It is largely genetic. The good news is that once you reach puberty, your breasts will start developing for several years, so you may still be developing them at age 18 or 19.

If you still have not had your first period by age 16, I would recommend seeing a doctor and/or a gynecologist (a doctor specializing in women's reproductive health issues). You could see a doctor sooner, just to put your mind at ease.

I know it's difficult to not have your period when everyone else does, but I assure you that you WILL reach puberty. If there is some sort of underlying medical condition, it can easily be treated.

Not everybody is an early bloomer. Women get their period in very different times. I got mien when i was 13 but i knew girls that got it when they were 9 so i felt left out for some reason. I say enjoy the time you have with out because once you get it it won't go away until your at least 50. It's not nice to have trust me. If you do feel concerned though go see a gynecologist just so you can have some piece of mind.

My advice...don't do anything. You are perfectly normal. I had many friends who didn't start their period until they were sixteen. I, on the other hand, started when I was 9. You see, everyone's different. If you're a healthy weight and have a regular diet, the fact that you haven't reached puberty yet is simply the way nature intended. Be glad you can enjoy a little more time with no pantyliners and tampons!!!

I didn't have much of a chest at 15 either--but I would maybe see a doctor about why you haven't gotten your period yet--not that there is anything wrong, maybe some girls just menstruate later than others. Your time will come, but to be on the safe side just see your doctor to make sure there is no underlying problem. Good luck!!

I personally was a late bloomer. I was almost 14 before I got my period and was 15 before I got breasts. Since you are 15 and havent gotten your period yet you should go to the doctor or your local health department and get it checked out to make sure that everything is normal. Its very important to take your health seriously and if you have any concerns then there is no better place to address them than a doctor.

Dont worry you are normal some girls take longer then others is all it is. I had the same problem when i was a kid all my friends got their periods at like 12,13,and 14 I did not have mine untill I was 16 years old!. And you are still growing you have plenty of time to devlope breasts and hey maybe you will just have small ones no big deal truse me I have small ones and ive found that most men dont like nor care for bigger breasts so its no big deal. My sister has none at all and I mean none and her man is really really really hot looking and he does not mind at all so there is hope for us small chested woman :-). Don't feel weird around your friends because of that you should never half to feel weird around any of your friends ever for any reason they are the ones you should feel the most comfortable around no matter what and they are not going to not like you because of it. Don't worry hun you will start your period soon and when u do you will wish you where not so worried about it lol.

I suggest talking to your mother (if possible) about this. Late onset of puberty is often genetic - so, if your mother was a 'late bloomer', it's quite possible that you will be, as well. Most likely very soon you will begin to develop changes overnight.

Also, if you exercise frequently - especially in cases if you are a dancer or gymnast - then your body usually slows down the effects of puberty. If you've ever seen female gymnasts like in the olympics who have been training their entire lives - most of them are very short and have the body of a 12-year old girl even in their twenties. This is why.

If you are very concerned about it, I would speak to a doctor. Since you are only fifteen, perhaps a pediatrcian or something - then maybe a gynecologist. In the meantime, don't worry about it so much. No need to stress yourself out - you will figure out what the deal is soon enough.

Live it up! My aunt started at 15, I was 14 1/2. Both of us were very thin, not enough fat to sustain a baby. My eighth grade summer I was able to eat more meat than ever before so I gained weight and started my period. I was sad. :( Not about gaining weight, about having to deal with an annoyance every month. You could talk to your parents/guardians about making a doctor's appointment to find out if you have a medical condition or if your body is just loaning you get-out-of-cramps-free card for a little bit longer. ;)

Girl, count your blessing that you don't got it, trust me you DON'T want a period it sucks and it's painful and plus you get mood swings, the only good side to having a period is that you don't have sex hahaha but honestly periods suck ask anyone who has it, I've had mine since I was like 11yrs old but as some ppl say EVERYONE is different...There was a movie about that called "Ginger Snaps" and both teenaged girls didn't have their periods yet one was 15 and the other was 16 the 16yr old got it but she also turned into a warewolf LOL.....But no serioulsy ppl are different, Hell, I don't even got **** for crying out loud and I am almost 22yrs old I am still an A =(

All the girls in my family started getting bigger boobs when they had kids so be patient aight it'll come sooner or later and I am guessing it'll come sooner stop stressin' who cares what ppl think DON'T TELL THEM ANYTHING!!!!! it's nobodies business only yours and your families k?
