What does it mean when a female is referred to as "First Lady"
I don't mean the president's wife but I've heard of some females being called that is it good/bad or a term of endearment?

I've never heard of any woman other than a president or ex-presidents wife being referred to First Lady.

It is a term for the Wife of the President of the USA. He is our first citizen, therefore she is the first lady, since she is his main squeeze.
