I have no negative intent. My goal is simply to see how people respond to Africa and ultimately determine how those notions are affected by the media. Thanks everyone for your help.

Gwen got to it first....but I think of poverty, starvation, misery, under-development, slavery, exploitation...
That's bad that I don't associate anything "positive" with Africa.

Africa is the Heart of the planet, and out of this mighty land shall rise a renaissance of the world.
And in fact, from out in space it appears to be shaped like that of a heart -- most interesting.

Great beauty and tremendous poverty. For all the pictures we see I imagine for most of us we cannot truly fathom. Oprah is doing a great thing as is Bono and Gates. If the Nations in the World spent time concentaring on solving these problems. {Instead off often causing them} And instead if waging Warfare institute a Massive Helpfare.
I do not understand Ethnic cleansing because if we stick a needle in our finger we all bleed.

I did always like learning about the african kingdoms and how prosperouse they were before the white man came and f*cked it all up. What I liked most about african history is the fact that men were very powerfullindeed, but in most cases They would relinquish tehir power to a women, I have learned about african queens than kings.
AND egypt is part of the african continant,
