Philosophy means to me and is literally translated as "Love of Wisdom".
In full, most people view history as a study in politics.
I see History as a study in Ethics.
Philosophy is split into 3 major branches - Epistemology (The way we learn), Metaphysics (is there a supernatural world?) and Ethics (what it means to live a good human life).
Philosophy is a cumulative branch of thought. It is everything to me. If you add someone's Epistemology, Metaphysics and Ethics together, not only can you tell what he will do in a given situation, you can also control that person and sell them on your ideas, based on their philosophy.
Human action is a measure of Human philosophy. Philosophy is the basis for Sales, Leadership, Poker, and Debate. The best of philosophers seem to be prophets, but merely understand the interrelational nature of thought and how things connect and push forward through time.

It ability knowledgeable, as has been reported. it is stated with 2 syllables, with a rigidity on the first. If someone has discovered very a lot, that human being would properly be said as "discovered", or "study'd" interior the older version of the same note. in spite of everything, fairly the alternative of what you had in ideas. ;) i am going to work out why you should imagine that given Whitman's poem, although. The astronomer interior the poem is discovered, it is to assert that he has discovered very a lot, yet Whitman is comparing concept to feeling, and diagnosis to journey. For each and every of the sweetness of the astronomer's arithmetic, it isn't the same as only searching at up on the celebrities themselves.

I'm not going to use any scientific explanation or definition. For me, Philosophy is the way I live my life: The way I eat, the way I dress up, the way I walk, I talk, ....in other words the way I AM is a philosophy. This is how I see the world...through myself.

I have taken a philosophy class in college, but since you asked for a non text book definition, here it is. To me philosophy is to think differently, you know, kind of like how you have to bend your mind to come up with the answer to a brain teaser, philosophy is very similar, you must bend your mind to think of all aspects of a given subject, and then question those answers again and again, until you come to a very rudimentary, very basic level of an answer. Those who have answered your question with ' something unintelligent people think about' or 'something for people who have too much time on their hands' are people incapable of thinking differently, they can only entertain one form of thought.

to me. . .
Philosophy means walking my own path. Learning from each person that I cross paths with, good or not. Philosophy means finding my own truth by asking all questions without prejudice. It is about sharing positive things that I learn in my own Philosophy that would affect other people (hopefully) positively.

A philosophy is a way of thinking. Literally, "Philosophy" comes from two roots words - "philo" meaning "love, and "sophy" meaning "wisdom".
