As illustration of those who come by way of Holy Trinity and those who come by way of Allah, lay claim that:

“In order to understand scared text, one needs to first believe; a person must use their minds and be afflicted with divine intervention.”

The fallacy of this line of argument conceivably be that of the other thousand or so religions, beliefs and philosophies in present circulation, a handful will claim similar conditions to understand their way.

Should this person then not ascribe to all the above belief systems to try to sort the wheat from the chaff to determine the one True belief, and in the process risk being burnt by all the other false beliefs and Gods ?

Are not all authoritative sources preaching one belief over another no different to the transient nature of confetti salesmen ?

Flavour of the month, if you permit, is empirical science backed with rational philosophy.

Kindly refrain, if you please, ad hominem attacks of all parties participating. Thank you.

just .., dumb.. – Carnal life is all there is to it; nothing more to consider.

Mince.. – Religion, beliefs and faith may amount to nothing more than sophisticated man made branding exercises, at best, a psychological panacea of personal choice.

:: Is it conceivable that rent-a-belief system, be applied as the situation presents itself, in context of the human condition throughout its whole existence, without shifting from one system to another ?

Flyin.. – Can a system of ideas understood in its entire context and in totality of meaning, as opposed to cherry picking and cross pollinating competing ideologies, lead to edification the human condition without further discernment ? Belief often follows interest closely.

:: Can belief systems demanding whole hearted acceptance, be tolerant of other systems to allow comparison and discernment, at the same time satisfy human insatiable appetite for quest for knowledge and allow pursuit of excellence sans barriers ?

I have also wondered what to make of all the brands on offer. Does the fact that there are so many brands mean that they are all wrong or all right?
I guess it depends what you need the product for.
If we are talking of washing up powders, then the presence of many brands imply the existence of something that can stand up and call itself a washing up powder. If we are talking of an over the counter cure for you know what, then the presence of many brands in no way means any of them will actually work, though they may make you feel better and by law they are not supposed to be toxic.

Religion, if I have believed, then the job is well done, I don't need to understand unless I had no other influences upon my life, such as controlling the elements of risk with regards to managing my mortgage. Are all religions equal, and which is subordinant to the other, unfortunately people I know go around collecting choice cuts from each and using this mixture to regulate their lives, is one paragraph of text believed a job well done, or do you have to understand the whole volume in order to be a good human being? To believe, you must then already have an interest in the religion which then propels you forward to undertake an academic understanding of the text in general.
