Your question varies greatly. Here's the reason why. It really all depends several things - your height, geographical location and the talent of the local competition. Think about it. For example, my high school basketball team had tall players. The point guard was 6'4, shooting guard 6'3, small forward 6'3, power forward 6'5, center 6'6. So was our team big? You bet. But at the same time many schools have players where everyone is below 6'0. It really all depends. But what I would say to you is if you plan to play at a division 1 college/university then you need to be somewhat selective in what High School you attend.
Let's say your 6'4. In some high shcools they would make you play center (with your back to the basket) because you would be the tallest person on the team. Whereas if you went to a perennial powerhouse high school you might be asked to play your natural postion (whatever that would be). In some shcools you would play shooting guard or small foward. It would really depend on where you want to attend/play college ball.
If you want to go Division 1 DO not go to a school where you will play out of your natural position. For example at 6'8 or taller at a division 1 school you would play power forward and maybe center. Get it? You would not play point (maybe) shooting guard/small forward. But at most Division 1 Universities you would have much larger talent pool to draw from. Now if you want to attend a 'small school' chances are good at 6'4 you might be the power forward or the center. Hope this helps.

It varies. On my high school team, our center was 6'4 but we played teams which had 6'10 centers and we played teams that had 5'11 centers. Our backup center was 5'11 but he was a big guy and could bang inside. Its not as much the height of the player as it is the skill set. Look at Dirk Nowitzki for instance. He is 7' tall but his skills are that of a small forward, therefore he plays power and small forward. So, it really depends. At oak hill academy you are likely to have a college size big man 6'9- 7' tall and at many high schools you may have a 6' big man. It all depends on all these variables.
