Im white. I have dated women of almost every race, including my own. But i seem to have the most connection physically, emotionally AND mentally to black women. My current girlfriend of 9 months is black & Puerto Rican (& absolutely gorgeous) and this is the happiest i've ever been. But i've noticed that many ofther women of my own race hate towards our relationship. Sometimes other black lesbians have something to say too but not nearly as much as other white lesbians. They're even been physically violent towards us!! I really hate that & it annoys me. Why is society still hung up on race issue like this??

I would surmise that it really depends upon where you live and the cultural climate of that area. If you were here in CA, I don't think it'd be that much of a problem. In fact, other white lesbians would probably envy you. Other Black lesbians, on the other hand, may give you both a hard time. In the end, as others have said, do you! It's their problem, not yours.

You know, I have been there, done that. Don't give them the satisfaction of letting what they say or do affect you. Just be who you are and live your own life.
P.S. Maybe they are just jealous that they can't get a beautiful woman themselves....and have to hate on someone who can. ;)

Its not, but may seem that way because of the vocal minority.

i'm the product of a mixed rship. people just hate. there really is no answer to why. just do your thing and have pity on people that can't just leave it alone.

I think more and more black women are starting to see how good white people are. They are not listening to the racist and hate filled people cutting down white people anymore.

Because they think that the decent Black men will eventually leave their white girl friends for them, even though the black guy left the black girl first.

there are still people who wouldn't even consider dating somebody who isn't their race, gay or straight, i don't really know why that is. there are many closeminded, prejudiced people out there.
