i'm moving to australia towards the end of this year as a university student. but i will need a part time job.i want to be a part time make up artist on a cosmetic counter, do i need a degree for that? what quality are they looking for besides skills (which i'm confident of)?

No you don't need a degree, but must have a little, experience with apply it, cause your coustomer will ask for advice and you as they sell/Make-up Art, will have to help them out, if you have make up home, try it out on your self or friends or family......this help alot......cause you don't want to make a boboo....on ppl

you do need a degree to be a make-up artist if you want to work their .Its very easy you just need the money to pay for it .But if you have the skills just go for and try it out maybe they will hire you after all.Good luck
