I was 18... I also had my first kiss at 18.
I'm glad I waited that long because none of the other jerks I've been with deserved my first kiss. This guy did.
Around 12 years old, kids start wanting the urge to be with someone else. They don't understand relationships and I guess you could say they're exploring these first feelings. But I think making out with someone at 12 years old is pretty far out there...

I was 13...and I was a good girl that never did anything wrong. I never wanted my parents to find out though. I wasn't really open with them and comfort about guys until I was like 16 (because then I was in a serious relationship). But the younger that happens the younger the big thing is likely to happen because kissing just creates more curiosity. Just keep on eye on her!

Don't panic. I was 18, but definitely a late bloomer. Just because she made out with a boy doesn't mean she wants to do anything more with him. And maybe to her "making out" means a closed-mouth kiss that lasted 2 seconds. Maybe it's time to have the big talk, in case you haven't done so already. Just get to know her, in as not judgmental way as you can. Ask her if her friends are into boys and kissing and what she thinks about it. If you ask her directly she might withdraw into herself. Good luck :-)

I was 12 years old too, but all we did was "kiss" and we called that making out at the time which was about 13 years ago. I'm sure its harmless as long as she doesn't add any unfamilar terms pertaining to what she's doing with boys, I just think she kissing.

Every generation seems to get younger and younger when it comes to "making out". I'm 25 and the first time I made out with a boy was at 15

I was 19. I know kids are being pressured to do things that I never even KNEW about back then. It's very scary, I think. No one is emotionally mature enough at 12 to become physically involved with the opposite sex. I hope she knows better than to go any further with him!

I was 16 and that was my first boyfriend. My younger sister was around your daughters age. Everything is moving faster these days. Gotta watch them. My sister ended up losing her virginity at 16. I didn't til i was 18. I think that says something.

yep, 12 and a bit. thats how old i was..
she most likely tells everyone there she hates boys cuz thats what she wants you to think.
i wouldnt worry too much about it, for me, when i made out w/ a boy for the first time, thats as far as it went. i was too scared to go any further, i was just curious about the hype.
