Sometimes the baby will get the hiccups and you will feel that. It will feel like a heart beat and last for a while. That is probably what it is, if not they like to kick in one spot sometimes. Mine only moved on one side for a while but now he is running out of room and trying to make up for lost space by going crazy in there and we end the night with me waiting for his hiccups to go away so I can go to sleep!

Sure, the baby doesn't have much room to stretch out so often the kick will be in the same spot...and a lot longer than 2 minutes.

I get the same feeling in my lower abdomen at times. It feels to me that the baby has the hiccups, which are completely safe and do not cause the baby and discomfort. I'm pretty sure that's what you're feeling.

It sounds like your baby might have the hiccups. My son had them all the time from about 5 months pregnant to the end....so cute!
