I am filing divorce papers. Each document must be sworn and notarized. Is it legal to have a page-break in the middle of the swearing and notary section? Or should I put all of this on a separate page? Only reply if you have specific knowledge about this question. Also, must all text in the documents be the same point size? Thanks.

I am a notary and the notary section should not be broken up...so put it on a separate page. Yes, the text should all be the same point size and preferably in a professional font...like Times New Roman and not Comic Sans! LOL

I am a Notary in New York. The text does not all have to be the same point size. Sometimes when I insert the notary language I make it very small so it fits on the page. The notary language should be on the same page with the signature(s), but not alone on one page. The reason being, you can attach anything to the front of the notary page that is not a part of the actual original document. Hope that helps.

Play it safe and put the Notary section on a separate page, and use the same point size for everything.

your notary page should have some kind of text in it about what document is being notarized, you know, so people can't just add one at then end of any document, however, looking at mine, it only take a few lines to notarize something. when i worked for an attorney and went to school for it, it's not illegal to use different font sizes, but there are rules for margins on the left and such

THe notary oath needs to be on the same page as the notary signature and stamp

Dorsie 344 is right, but also the document should be typed double spaced. When I type legal documents for my boss (he's an attorney), I use all the same size with the exception of the caption. I generally make the caption slightly larger and bold.
