a positive result means the test has detected pregnancy hormone which would suggest you are pregnant. It might sound a bit silly but could you still be pregnant from the first time? I once read of a case were a woman had a miscarriage but still went on to give birth to twins, she only lost one baby but was carrying 3. If I were you I'd go and see the doctor ASAP and get it checked out. Negative tests don't mean much, there might not be enough hormone for them to detect.
Good luck, sorry to hear about the miscarriage.

anytime you are sexually active pregnancy is a possibility. It would be best if you see your primary care doctor and have a blood test. Plus it's possible that you could be suffering some complications from the miscarriage. You could need a DNC, antibiotics, etc. IF - for some reason you cannot see your primary care doctor, you can always go to the Local Health Department - or your communities planned parenthood division can give you the information you need. The bottom line is - it's not only a question of being pregnant - your personal health can be at risk. Please make sure that you see a health care professional soon. (even if your symptoms subside, you need a check up!) Good Luck

When I miscarried, I bled for an entire month, then my following two periods skipped, but there was spottting, so I can relate in a way. My opinion is no, you arent pregnant. I was advised not to have sex for a month so I wouldnt have a risk for infection, so I knew I wasnt pregnant when my spotting occured. All I can say is go to the doctor for their pregnancy test, or even wait it out another month of two then take your hpt again. Your body is probably still recovering.

My wife miscarried about six months ago. 1 month later she got pregnant again (and this time it is going well). It is possible to get pregnant that fast. Also, tests look for a hormone level and some are more sensitive than others. For both pregnancies, she took several tests (I swear, I think we keep those companies in business) and over half of them read negative and others only showed a faint line. Go to your doctor.

Hi,
It is possible, tests rarely show false positives but they are known to show false negatives. I would go and see the doctor or obgyn, to find out for sure. I do know that after my miscarriage I had a heavy period the following month, not just spotting. If you do not want to go to the doctors yet wait a couple of days and retest, I know they say you don't have to use your first urination, but it does contain the highest lvels of hormone. Hope it helps. Good luck :-)

yes. When i got pregnant i took three different home pregnancy tests and all of them showed up negative, so if one of yours turned out positive, theres a very good chance that you are. Treat your body like your pregnant even though your not for sure, you dont want to risk having another miscarriage. Your local health depatment will have the best pregnancy tests, thats how i found out i was pregnant at 4 months along! Good luck with everthing and let us know how it goes.

How do you know you miscarried in Nov. Did your doctor confirm this or did you just have what seemed like a period and assumed it was a miscarriage?
You may need to see the doctor for an ultrasound, you may need a dnc.

sometimes you can have the pregnacy hormone for a couple of weeks after... It can also take a while for your menstration to get back on track! Give it a little bit longer and try another test. Then I would go see the DR. So sorry to hear about the loss. Been there before.

Well, all the signs point to yes except for the HPT tests. Only one has shown up positive. Its strange, but God works in strange ways. Also, I'm very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That hurts deeply I know.

Why not ask your doctor for a blood test to really be certain? You've been on an emotional roller coaster enough since November. Go easy on yourself. Many blessings.
