Legally how DOES Dubya get to do whatever he wants? Did he become Dictator of the United States while I slept last night? Or is "Decider" the same thing?

A resolution with no teeth is nothing but putting the President on notice. The only good to come from it is that he is finally getting the idea that it isn't only Democrats who are opposed to his policies. Warner's defection really threw the White House for a loop, Bush had always counted on his support. It may make him step more lightly in making decisions about Iran.

I wonder the same thing about the "demands" that Bush puts on the Iraqi government, especially regarding this latest surge. He never puts any teeth in those demands either. Same basic question. What good is a demand that has no teeth or consequences for not meeting that demand?

Doesn't Bush always do what he wants to do? He never listens to anyone that is outside of his inner-circle of misguided sycophants.
