My husband and I have decided to start ttc this month. I am due to ovulate on the 27th (tomorrow). Here's the thing...I was taking bc pills up until Wednesday...so will I ovulate on time?

The Pill will disrupt your menstrual cycle. I would suggest getting off the Pill for a few months to allow your cycle to return to normal before trying to conceive.
You can tell when you are fertile by watching for and examining the mucosal discharge when you use the bathroom. Sometimes it is yellowish-white and sticks to your underwear. If it is highly viscous, rubbery and slippery, that is the optimum time. If it is tacky to the touch, it is during the peripheral fertile time, on one of the days immediately before or after an egg has been released, and you still have a chance to conceive.

If you stopped taking birth control pills this past Wednesday, then you'll probably be experiencing a period, not ovulating. Give yourself a few months to get your cycle back on track and then try predicting your ovulation cycle.

You should give yuorself at least 3 months off teh pill before ttc. If you only stopped the pill on Wed...chances are you won't succeed.

If you were on BC I wouldn't start trying to conceive this month. Since you stopped the pills you will have a period. I would start trying after your period.

Good luck

If you just stopped taking your birth control pills what should actually happen is that your body throws you into that stage of the "program" meaning that you should get your period. When this period is done you can figure out your cycle. :)
