I just saw a new Disney Ad where Beyonce in playing the part of Alice in Alice in Wonderland. Ok! Let's think for a moment. I like Beyonce. I think she's pretty, shapely, with a nice voice. But Damn! Is it just me, or do you think that out of all the Hollywood young stars, they could have found someone else to play the part of Alice? And if so, what young star would you have like to see play the part of Alice?

Scarlett is playing Cinderella, Brandy has played Cinderella, so why can't Beyonce be Alice...(even though i am tired of seeing her)...I just glad i'm not the only one who knows that Beyonce cannot act. (someone should start that as a petition)

Well I do agree that it is a strecth for her acting in such a role, however she is one of the stars on the rise in Hollywood. So her team must think she should take the role, or maybe it has always been a dream of hers. Frankly I don't think the fact that she is an African-American is weird in playing "Alice", but Beyonce's older age does raise an eyebrow. Who knows it is probably a musical anyway in which case she can do very well.

I like Beyonce, but she is a bit too mature to be portrayed as Alice in Wonderland. In Lewis Carroll's book "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" Alice is a 12 year old girl. If the advertisers were looking for a singer/celebrity maybe Miley Cyrus a.k.a. Hannah Montana would have been a good choice.

I guess she would be ok, but I agree with you, there are so many more young actresses out there that would probably better fit the part, how about Dakota Fanning, wouldn't she just be the cutest Alice. Or if they would rather not get that young, how about Scarlett Johansson even but I think they already have her as Cinderella. Or maybe Drew barrymore.

I think Dakota Fanning would be good for that part. Beyonce is a screen hog, whose only motivation is to be seen, she's almost as bad at acting as she is at singing. I can't believe that, but I guess I have to, 'cuz it's happening whether I acknowledge it or not.

It's unusual in the first place to actually hear of an African-American actress in such a role, let alone a juvenile one. get some of those kids with parents in showbiz who can't act.

I like Beyonce but she is on the verge of being "over exposed". She is everywhere.
Hilary Duff would be a good Alice.
