Sober Gifts

No joke thats great!!! Now a good way to celebrate is U dress up real nice, sexy etc. have a reservation at a nice restaurant maybe one with music, jazz would be good, very relaxing and sexy. Then give him a gift, it does not have to be expensive, as long as it has meaning for him! And dont forget the congrats card!! Put in a personal note, expressing how proud U R of him and how lucky U have him in your life, and how much U love him. A person who can overcome a addiction is a strong person, and a person who is a winner!!! And then have the bedrom ready, romantic with maybe some roses, and have a wonderful night!!

1 Year Sobriety Gifts

I don't know what he likes but I agree with the idea of dinner. How about his favorite restaurant.
Maybe you could make him his favorite dinner, and sever it in a romantic setting, china, candles flowers etc, wing glasses with ginger ale or whatever.
Then maybe a gift "bag" with some goodies: you could go with a movie theme, chocolates, candies sold at the movies, popcorn, and a DVD he wants to see.
A sexy theme: scented oils, massage oils, candles, you get the idea
Any theme "Container" you can think of according to his taste, hobbies, likes, job, what you do together etc.
Congratulations to him on the one year, that is fantastic!!!!!

If it's his thing, take him somewhere fun like an amusement park to remind him what there is to live for! Or if he likes nature or something, prepare a picnic for you too in the outdoors..celebrate life! It's the best gift.

A token, or talisman. Something he can physically hold when it gets hard. Something like a necklace with a cool bead on it. You will never know how much help it gives to know someone is rooting for you and you can feel it in what they have given you.

Also, Write him and tell him how you feel about him and this goal of his. Give him a hug. Tell him you are proud of him.

Since the one year anniversary gift is paper, why not either write him a very caring note or have the Twelve steps (if he was in the program) framed in an engraved frame.
