I think it depends on your experiences. You can look beautiful and have no self confidence. You can confidence and not look good but both cases are rare. Usually someone who looks good is confident, but they can only be confident if they know they look good. I mean if everyone tells you you look good but you don't believe it you probably have self issues. Now you can not look good physically and be really confident and that can make people like you. But lets say you've been picked on a lot or something like that. You probably won't have a lot of confidence. I think it just depends on what you've been through and how people act towards you.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. What is pretty or good looking to me may not be to the next person. I think being confident, not cocky, does give a certain grace to someone. I would personally rather be with someone that feels good about themself versus someone who is constantly striving to be someone/something they aren't.
We need to feel good within our own skin and quit trying to live up to the barbie dolls that we see on tv. Love you for you and you will find someone that feels that same way about you.
I know many many many people that in my eyes are beautiful, but they have no confidence in themself. Just because you are born "good looking" doesn't mean that you are also born confident. Confidence comes from how you feel about yourself as a whole, not just how you look or appear to other people.

Being confident makes someone look good. Especially if you are a man. I have seen men who are by most peoples standards very good looking but without confidence they just do not stand out. The lack of confidence makes them look worse, it dulls the shine.

Sometimes looking good boosts you up but most of the time being confident makes someone look good. It's all in the mind.

Both.
Good looking people grow up being more confident, this continues into their later life.
However, people's upbringing and general attitude can make them more confident, which makes more people like them. This is of course unless people are so confident that they look down on those 'below' them.
Both factors are very closely linked to be honest.
Peace out!

There's even something deeper than that.
Confidence and "looking good" are both functions of something else, something unseen and hidden, something more profound. We might think of this as a creative Cause, or a generative, declarative Presence, or Beingness of the person for whom his or her presentation and self-representation to the rest of the world is distinguished by the attributes "confidence" and "looking good"....which neans different things to different people.
The mistake people make is to mistake cause for effect. The effect is confidence and looking good. They are not te cause of anything. Someione who is BEING confident is also someone, more than likely, who is BEING someone "looking good".

Both can be true.
When you look good [to be determined by you!] you tend to feel GREAT and that reflects on your stance, demeanor and facial expression.
When you are a confident person you often appear more attractive, but not always [some folk take it too far with arrogance and swagger thus are less attractive to others]

Neither one assures you of the other. But a good looking person can always gain confidence. You can be confident even if you're the Elephant Man (or me), but neither one of us is ever gonna be pretty.

No, looks have nothing to do with confidence, it is how well the person carry him or herself. Confidence is on the inside.
