Will the steering wheel need to be taken off? What about the airbag? Will it need to de-activated?

it is called a com 2000 it comes as one unit the wiper stalk and the indicator switch
it only comes from peugeot and will cost around 130 to buy and 35 to fit
(+vat)
they are common.
hope its under warranty

you have to buy a unit called a com 2000 they start at 145 pounds you will have to remove the steering wheel airbag and colum surround if you are in the glasgow area i can help i work for peugeot

NO in a word I have seen this many times when you tell the customer it will cost 150 plus quid to repair they usually gasp, it is not easey to do your self trust me, take it to a dealer and get it replased properly, if it is still under warrenty all the better, if not DIG deep my friend

hi...no need to take the steering wheel off...but you will need to take off the covers covering the steering column behind the steering wheel...then it will be plain to you what needs replacing.

believe you will need either a 'star' key or 'allen' key....plus a small screwdriver, and maybe new contacts for the wiring connections.

I believe it means replacing the complete column control unit. This requires airbag and steering wheel removing, and will cost "loadsamoney". I reckon around the £200 mark.

Can't generally repair them so it's a replacement part
