Could be a number of things depending on what you believe, either that you have lived before or had a dream just two things to be going on with.
Years ago i had dream that i walked up 2 flights of stairs in an old house and there i was shown a snake.
My uncle some 10 years later took me up those stairs to show me some snakes he was keeping as a hobby.
There was more to the dream that came true but far to long to type.

It is when your brain waves don't sync together for a second. Each wave that is off causes the feeling of dejavu because your brain basically re-thinks everything that just happened.

being repetitive. It's like the slot machines. You have 3 items and as the world/machine churns sometimes they all come up the same (a dejavu). Or, it's like the roll of the dice, sometimes you come up with duplicates. It's a natural phanomenon.

i have a couple theories.
You know how they say, before you die, your life flashes before your life? i think that a deja vu is one of those memories you see before you die. you're seeing it for the second time in the future.
my other theory...
haha i knew there was another one...but for the life of me i cant remember.

you usually have seen the place or object before and then see it again in a future date. or you have seen something in a dream and then see it again in reality.
