All the lip balms mentioned are good. On a different note, are you drinking enough water? I know my lips feel better when I am properly hydrated.

sorry i post it secont time, there was a mistake ...No. One, instead of No. ...)
it seems to me you have herpes (zoster ?). it is a virus of course. it is considered an std. most people are infected with it, but they do not /want to realize. when active, it is extreemly contagious. drinking after someone is enough to get it.
the problem is, when active, the viruses are in and around the wounds. stress causes immunesystem to lower, giving free ride for the virus to errupt.
what to do? There are many good antiviral unguents, ask any pharmacist. don't ask for vaseline, it will not help. Not for the herpes, anyway.
In the period of ANY LITTLE herpes activity, all sex must be considered extreemly well. take good care, not to touch the wound and then the eyes , genitals and other sensitive areas of the body where the virus can penetrate much easyer than skin.
To reduce stress (No. one cause of activating herpes) i'd advise you clean up your social network of people causing you too much stress and negative self immage ! Those have direct influence on our immune system...(long story). if needed, divorce, take a new job, relocate, whatever helps.
Untill you have the real stuff recomanded by the pharmacy, use Betadine (brown, jodium like fluid, not the fat unguent!) This will desinfect the wound and around for a while and has allso antiviral influence. at least for a couple of minutes it makes contamination less likely. do it every hour or so. Learn to wash hands each and every time you touch around the wound. (you shouldn't)
no kissing of any kind anywhere, no oral sex !!! (don't worry, only a couple of days untill ALL the symptoms dissapear TOTALLY and no more sour pain is felt.
Once infected, it usually never really goes away. the virus loves to infest inside the deeper levels of the skin, on the nerves, waiting for a break... but at that stage it is not contagious anymore.
Train yourself to dare asking for the stuff you really need, even if it is not eassy. Herpes is considered std, but it is not only sex that facilitates contagion, and really, about , i guess 80% of people have it (the common variant)
hope it gave you an idea...
wish you the best. see you around :-)

You know, chapped lips are a sign of dehydration; maybe you just need to drink more water. Also, try this: apply Vaseline to your lips, then take an old toothbrush to them to slough off the dead skin. Seriously, this works. Then apply medicated chapstick. And drink lots of water!

Try Murad Energizing Lip Conditioner. It is a little spendy at about $12 but the tube lasts a while. It actually soaks in a bit instead of like a lot of the regular chapsticks, etc. that sit on top of your lips to protect them rather than treat them.

sturdy query!! So...a lil history, I safeguard a guy who's paralyzed with the help of a severe neurological ailment. His dermis and lips dry out lots and as quickly as I go away for the night I could desire to make effective he has the main suitable chapstick on as a results of fact it is not as though he can stick to extra That being reported, i individually researched lip balms and that i found out something kinda loopy. you be responsive to how human beings say that they are hooked on lip balm?? nicely..their lips unquestionably are. a super form of the lip balms obtainable have an element that coats your lips yet additionally alerts your lips to end making their own organic oil that shop them moisturized so once you supply up utilizing the lip balm your lips are extra chapped than ever. weird and wonderful huh?? So...after providing you with that relaxing little bit of information, i choose to propose Burt's Bees despite the fact that individually i exploit Aquaphor (it is like petroleum jelly and that i exploit it for each little thing!!!) and positioned it on earlier mattress and that i individually have a small tube in my bag basically in case! wish that facilitates!!!

Neosporin works but it tastes horrible. Neosporin makes a lip balm but I've never tried it. I put Neosporin onto my dry, cracked lips at night or when I'm hanging out at home.
