No, logical statements do not need to exist in congruence with reality. For example, here is a logical statement that follows:

All cats are only purple and white.
Completely black cats are cats.
All completely black cats are only purple and white.

This is a *logical* statement, but has no grounds in reality.

Unfortunately, that person also unwittingly admitted that they have no sense of humor.... just logic... What a freak, eh?

No. Belief removes the need for reality. You need only look at all of the existing belief systems that are not very realistic for examples.
