HERE ARE SOME DETAILS::
01. The play lasted for a FULL WEEKEND.
02. It came to Columbia, South Carolina in 2004.
03. It's Japanese.
04. There's kings, queens, princesses and princes.
05. It's kind of like a Japanese version of Romeo and Juliette, but there's ghosts, there's dancing, LOTS AND LOTS of the character's faces painted white(the base) and plenty of other colors(the designs). I do not remember the title, but I'll recognize it when I see it.

I'm not from South Carolina, nor did I see the show, but I would say that based on your descriptions, it's a kabuki play. I don't know the particular show. Try searching for kabuki
