The hormone "relaxin" is causing all your joints to relax (so your pelvis can spread) this is causing your feet to spread.

It may or may not go back to normal after birth.

I ended up having to wear my Crocs (the rubbery sandals that were all the rage last summer) shoes all through the end of my pregnancy (2 days before Thanksgiving) because my tennis shoes wouldn't fit, but I wasn't swollen. I was able to fit back into all of my shoes again about 2 weeks after the baby was born.

I had my baby 10 months ago and my old shoes still don't fit. I lost all my baby weight so that's not it. They got a bit smaller after I lost the weight, but I am still almost a full size larger than I was before I got pregnant.

Good news is, that it's a good excuse to get new shoes!

There is a reason they say "barefoot and pregnant" !!!! Sometimes womens feet grow a shoe size and never go back to the regular size.

This is easier said than done, but try to elevate them whenever you sit down, and sit down as much as possible. Someone on here previously answered that a body pillow was comforting to women at the end of their pregnancy--you could put the bottom part between your legs and cuddle the rest of it--I'm assuming you can only sleep on your side. Of course, don't eat a lot of salty food or processed food that contains a lot of salt. Make sure you drink enough water, but not too much. Good luck. I hope the swelling eases up for you.

Your feet may actually be swollen... or they may have just grown. Mine were swollen AND grew. At 8 months, I couldn't wear shoes. I had to go buy some MEN's rubber-soled SLIPPERS to wear to work. They sort of looked like moccasins. Any shoes were too tight... yes, including wide width. I tried everything and finally gave up and got slippers. After I had him, I had to buy new shoes. I went up whole size!

It's normal. I only had one pair of shoes that fit me at 9 months. One of the perks of pregnancy.

Yes, my feet went back to their normal size.

Some womens feet will actually grow a few shoe sizes while pregnant. I dunno why I've also heard of peoples noses getting bigger. Like wider. Your feet may go back a size once you have the bay and some time has passed but I wouldn't count on it.

I have heard that some pregnant women's feet do change in size. I am not sure what causes it, but they say you can go up a full size in shoes. I also read that it may be a permenant change, sorry : )

ya sorry to tell you but they probably will not go back to the size they were before, i made the mistake of shoe shopping when i was 6 months pregnant and could only wear the shoes for a couple weeks and never was able to wear them again and my son is 18 months old, sorry but the joys of motherhood.
